Emergency Dentist

We will endeavor to see all dental emergencies as soon as possible, or we may be able to give suitable advice over the phone.  Below, we have some 1st Aid advice for some of the most common dental emergencies.  Just hover your mouse over the images below for more information.

Fractured Tooth

If you have the piece of tooth please place it into milk or some of your saliva, rinse your mouth with luke warm salt water.  Try to contact Expressions Dental and Cosmetic Clinic as soon as possible

Tooth Knocked Out

Find the tooth and pick it up by the crown (biting part).  

If dirty rinse with cold water and then push back into the socket.  If this isn't possible place in milk or your saliva, and attend Expressions Dental and Cosmetic Clinic within 1 hour.

Toothache

Take an over-the-counter painkiller/anti-inflammatory as recommended by your pharmacist.  Bathe the area with luke warm salt water.  ensure the area is clear of debris buy utilising dental floss or interdental brushes.  Try to contact Expressions Dental and Cosmetic Clinic as soon as possible

Lost Crown/Filling

If your filling has come out and the tooth is sensitive or sharp, try to attend Expressions Dental and Cosmetic Clinic as soon you can.  If a crown falls out or snaps off, keep the crown and attend as soon as possible so that we might be able to re-attach it, or formulate a new treatment plan.
